League play will kick off the evening of Monday, Sept 12th, all leagues will start that week. Note: The Masters league will be rolling out registration on a separate date, more info to come soon!
Note – We are going into our 2nd season of using Curling I/O . If you are a returning curler you will already have a curling profile and will log in with the same credentials as last season.

Fifth Players/Honorary Lifetime Members
If you are registering a five/six man team or if you are a Honorary Lifetime Member (HLM), go to the top of the home screen, click on the tab called Products and you will see the various options.
*Fifth Players and HLM will be charged the Curling Canada/Curl BC/Facility Fees for the season.

This document is reflective of curling being in Step 3 of BC’s Restart Plan and the Curling Canada/Curl BC Return to Curling Plan. This information is subject to change based on the directives we receive from the Provincial Organization, Via Sport, Curl BC, Curling Canada, WorkSafe BC and our Municipality.

REGISTER NOW FOR THE 2021/22 SEASON
Dear Curlers,
We would like to welcome you back to another Curling Season at Golden Ears Winter Club. You can expect for it to look very similar to the START of last season with the safety and comfort of our members at the forefront.
As noted previously, we have moved to a new on-line registration platform called Curling I/0. By clicking HERE you will find a detailed step-by-step guide on how to register. Feel free to reach out if you require additional assistance. Once you create your “Curler Profile” in Curling I/0 you will never need to do this step again.
The GEWC Board of Directors and Management team completed a thorough analysis of our club’s league fees during the off-season. The focus was to adjust our league fees to a fair market value and ensure the club remains financially viable moving forward. This review was prompted as part of the club’s mandate per our recently renewed operating agreement with the City of Maple Ridge.
Each league rate is based on a “cost per game” model. Daytime rates are $8/Member and $9/Non-Member, and Evening rates are $12/Member and $14/Non-Member. The Curling Canada/Curl BC fee and Club Growth fee remain in addition. Beginners League and Juniors League are on a slightly different model.

CLUB UPDATE – July 2021
Dear Curlers,
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer thus far! We are super excited as we continue to work towards the start of the 2021/2022 season. We are eagerly anticipating the first event of the season, our Annual Western Open Summer Spiel. We are thrilled to report we are full with 24 teams.
League Registration
We will be opening league registration for the season in the next handful of weeks, please stay tuned for the link to register, this will also be posted on the top of our website. Everyone will need to be registered and paid by September 8th.

Note – The club is transitioning over to an online registration platform called Curling I/O. This is Curling Canada’s official online registration and league management platform designed for curling clubs. This is a centralized, secure and safe system that we are excited to be implementing.
Below are some dates to take note in your calendar:
Open House
Our Open House will be Sat, Sept 11th from 10-2pm. This will give you an opportunity to introduce someone new to the game and for you to dust off the curling gear and get in a few slides. We will also be there to get you set up with your lockers for the season.
Leagues
League play will begin on Monday, September 13, 2021.
